Parsha Noach Aliyah 2

Bereishit (Genesis) 7:1-16

1Then HaShem said to Noach, “Come to the Ark, you and your entire household, for it is you that I have seen to be righteous before Me in this generation. 2Of every clean animal take unto you seven pairs, a male with its mate, and of the animal that is not clean, two, a male with its mate; 3of the birds of the heavens also, seven pairs, male and female, to keep seed alive upon the face of the earth. 4For in seven more days’ time I will send rain upon the earth, forty days and forty nights, and I will blot out all existence that I have made from upon the face of the ground.” 5And Noach did according to everything that HaShem had commanded him.

6Noach was six hundred years old when the Flood was water upon the earth. 7Noach, with his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wife’s with him, went into the Ark because of the waters of the Flood. 8Of the clean animal; of the animal that is not clean; of the birds, and of each thing that creeps upon the earth, 9two by two they came to Noach into the Ark; male and female, as G-d had commanded Noach. 10And it came to pass after the seven-day that the waters of the Flood were upon the earth.

11In the six hundredth year of Noach’s life, in the second month, on the seventh day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth; and the windows of the heavens were opened. 12And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

13On that very day Noach came, with Shem, Ham, and Yapheth, Noach’s sons, with Noach’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with him into the Ark—14they and every beast after its kind, every animal after its kind, every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, and every bird of any kind of wing. 15They came to Noach into the Ark; two by two of all flesh in which there was a breath of life. 16Thus they that came, came male and female of all flesh, as G-d had commanded him. And HaShem shut it on his behalf.
